Based in Toponas, Which Is the Point
Dream Ridge works out of Toponas, in South Routt County. On excavation work the location of the contractor is not a detail, it is part of the price. Drive time shows up in mobilization on every job, it decides whether a half-day job is worth anyone’s while, and it is the difference between a machine coming back the same week and coming back next month.
From Toponas, the South Routt towns are minutes away. Steamboat Springs, the largest market we serve, is roughly forty-five minutes north. Everything else on this page is a genuine drive and we price it honestly rather than pretending distance is free.
Park and Teller Counties, in central Colorado, are a separate case again. That is travel work for larger projects rather than a local service area, and the Park County and Teller County pages say plainly what we will and will not take on down there.
Where We Work
Toponas
Home base. The company is run from here, so this is the shortest possible response and the easiest place for us to take on small jobs.
Minutes from us. Ranch country, septic systems, long driveways and the dirt work that keeps a working property functioning.
One of the closest towns we serve, and the one where being local shows up most clearly on the invoice. Town lots and rural acreage both.
Steamboat Springs
The largest market we serve, around forty-five minutes north. Note that the city is on a sewer, so septic work is on properties outside the city limits.
Reservoir subdivisions in wildland urban interface country. Defensible space, access and egress, septic and building work.
West Routt, out along US-40. Open agricultural ground and growth pressure. Suits larger or batched jobs given the drive.
Clark
North of Steamboat up the Elk River. Rural parcels, private access roads and septic systems. A long run from us, so best for substantial work.
Over Gore Pass. Ranch and river country. Note that David’s septic registration is Routt County specific and does not extend to Grand County.
Guffey, Lake George and Hartsel, in central Colorado. Travel work for larger jobs: ranch roads, driveways, clearing and site work. Septic permitting there is not ours.
Woodland Park, Divide, Cripple Creek and Florissant. Travel work for larger jobs, mostly fire mitigation, clearing and site work. Septic permitting there is not ours.
Not Sure If You Are In Range?
Call and ask. The drive is usually the deciding factor and it is a short conversation. If your job would genuinely be better served by a contractor closer to you, we would rather tell you that than take the work and do it expensively.
One thing worth knowing about scheduling: batching helps enormously at distance. If you have several jobs on a property, putting them on one list and doing them in one visit costs far less than four separate call-outs, and it is the single biggest thing you can do to keep the number down.
