Taking Things Down and Taking Them Away

A lot of rural property here comes with a structure that has outlived its usefulness. A barn that is no longer safe to walk into, a collapsed shed, an old foundation in the way of the new build, a concrete pad nobody needs. Demolition is straightforward work, and the part that decides the price is almost always disposal rather than knocking it down.

What We Take On

  • ✓Small structure demolition: sheds, outbuildings, garages
  • ✓Old barn removal and site cleanup
  • ✓Concrete breakout and removal, including slabs, pads and old foundations
  • ✓Foundation and footing removal ahead of new construction
  • ✓Fence and corral removal
  • ✓Debris haul-off and disposal, see trucking and hauling
  • ✓Site regrading after removal so you are left with usable ground

Disposal Is Most of the Cost

Knocking a building down is fast. Sorting, loading, hauling and paying to dispose of what comes out of it is the work. Anything with metal roofing, treated timber or concrete gets separated because the disposal routes and costs are different, and that separation happens at the site.

Older Buildings

Structures of a certain age can contain materials that are regulated, asbestos being the obvious one. That is a specialist survey and abatement question, not an excavation one. If a building is old enough to raise the question, get it checked before anyone starts pulling it apart, and we will work around whatever that process needs.

Left Ready to Use

Demolition should leave you with ground you can do something with, not a hole and a rough patch. We backfill, compact and rough grade the footprint as part of the job. If the plan is to build there, that runs straight into site preparation.

Common Questions

Do I need a permit to demolish a building?

Often yes, and it depends on the structure and where it is. It is worth a call to the county before you schedule anything. We will tell you what we have seen required on similar jobs, but the county has the final word.

It gets sorted at the site and taken to the appropriate disposal route. Metal, concrete, treated timber and general waste go different places at different costs, which is why demolition quotes vary so much between contractors.

Yes. Concrete breakout and removal is routine work, and it is often the last thing standing between a site and a new build.

Get it surveyed first. Asbestos abatement is a licensed specialty and not something we take on. Once it is cleared or abated we can do the demolition and the haul-off.
